3 Military Hospital Presents Craft Market and Unit Day

On 17 September 2008 3 Military Hospital presented a Craft Market in the Tempe Church Hall for both military personnel in Tempe and civilians from outside the SANDF.

The aim of the day was to promote the image of the hospital, create an event where both the military - and the public member could mingle, and to put the hospital on the map.

Military as well as private exhibitors presented their products at the market, which was officially opened by Col Derick Matthee, Officer Commanding of 3 Military Hospital.

It was the first time that the hospital presented its Craft Market on this scale. A huge marketing effort was put into this project – with the result that the day was extremely successful.

The market was well attended by all focus groups, the feedback was positive and people enjoyed it so much that it was requested that the hospital arrange a Christmas Market as well!
