3 Military Hospital Presented Open Day for
VPA Members
On 17 September 2008 3 Military Hospital
presented the second Open Day for its VPA
members.
The aim of the day was to familiarise the VPA
members regarding the facilities and procedures
at the hospital and to strengthen relationships
between the hospital and retired members of the
SANDF.
Col Derick Matthee, Officer Commanding of 3
Military Hospital opened the event and explained
to the members how to go about making use of the
hospital service. He also touched on the
upgrading of the buildings which is planned to
be completed by end 2009. The VPA members are
valued as one of the most important and valuable
clientele of the hospital.
Feedback received from the VPA members was
extremely positive. Everybody was impressed and
grateful for this opportunity where they could
experience how much they as Senior Citizens are
valued. They could see that 3 Military Hospital
really cares.
This outreach activity was a huge success and
will in future be planned on an annual basis.
