Overview

The SAMHS Fund was established on 24 April 1980 with the aim of offering SAMHS personnel certain benefits and facilities not provided by the government. Over the years this fund has grown in strength and size, and currently has over 8000 contributing members who enjoy a host of benefits that are only available to fund members.

Things have changed some what since those early days, and now any member of the SANDF, as well as non serving defence force members can join the fund at a nominal monthly fee, which opens the door to a host of benefits. The fund is also the proud owner of the Banana Beach Holiday Resort located on the Kwazulu Natal South Coast, as well as time share weeks at the new development at Sun City.
